All 16 LEGO Indiana Jones Sets, Ranked

All 16 LEGO Indiana Jones Sets, Ranked

Indiana Jones is a beloved and popular franchise, and with the release of the fifth installment of the movie franchise on the horizon, we thought we’d go through each and every LEGO Indiana Jones set out there!

For such a popular franchise, it seems strange that there are only 16 LEGO sets available – we could have put money on there being a lot more! But that’s not the case!

They were released over the course of 2008 and 2009, around the time that The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released in cinemas.

We imagine that once the new film is released, LEGO will start to produce more Indiana Jones sets to capitalize on the inevitable success of the upcoming movie.

Nowadays, the LEGO Indiana Jones sets are something of a rarity, with collectors happily paying prices that are considerably higher than the RRP.

So what we’re going to do is go through each and every LEGO Indiana Jones set, rating them in various areas, including their looks, playability, and Minifigures to find out which is the best of the best!

16. Ambush In Cairo

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7195 Ambush In Cairo
LEGO Indiana Jones 7195 Ambush In Cairo

Set number: 7195
Movie: The Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
Release year: 2009
Number of pieces: 79
RRP: $10.99 / £9.99
Number of Minifigures: 4 (Indiana Jones, Marion Ravenwood, Cairo Swordsman, and Cairo Thug)

The Ambush in Cairo LEGO set is more of a Minifigure pack than anything else. They are certainly the main draw here.

There is a small stall build, as well as a cart with movable wheels. They are bright and colorful enough to look interesting, despite their simple and rudimentary construction of them.

The cart has equally spaced parallel bars that can fit into the hands of any Minifigure, making it look like they are pulling it along. Another figure can be sat comfortably onto the back section.

The purple roof of the stall, the green of the apples, and the yellow of the cart really pop against the tans and beiges of the rest of the build.

We love the inclusion of a barrel that is large enough for a Minifigure to climb in and hide.

Coming onto the Minifigures themselves, we get a cool-looking Indiana Jones – complete with satchel, gun, and whip. Marion Ravenwood comes armed with a frying pan, which is a comical but effective weapon!

The Cairo Swordsman, and Cairo Thug are pretty simple, but their designs are great, and they’re good for army building. We certainly love their headscarves and turbans!

Overall while there’s not too much to the Ambush in Cairo LEGO set, it’s still a fun small build with a nice range of Minifigures.

15. Indiana Jones Motorcycle Chase

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7620 Indiana Jones Motorcycle Chase
LEGO Indiana Jones 7620 Indiana Jones Motorcycle Chase

Set number: 7620
Movie: The Last Crusade (1989)
Release year: 2008
Number of pieces: 79
RRP: $9.99 / £8.79
Number of Minifigures: 3 (Indiana Jones, Henry Jones Sr., and German Soldier)

Up next, we have the Indiana Jones Motorcycle Chase LEGO set. Whether it’s a good set or not is debatable, but there are certainly some redeeming features that make it a worthwhile purchase.

The checkpoint, flag, and two boxes are all very basic and uninspiring – like some of the micro builds from the LEGO Advent calendars. They do the job, but they’re not great.

One thing that we absolutely love is the motorcycle and sidecar. Not only does it look absolutely fantastic, but it comfortably fits two Minifigures.

The motorcycle and sidecar is a unique vehicle that we rarely get in LEGO sets. Motorcycles are common, but the addition of the sidecar takes it to the next level and adds a lot more playability.

The Indiana Jones Minifigure is pretty standard in all of these LEGO sets, and the German Soldier is a nice army builder but pretty generic.

But Henry Jones Sr. is the real highlight of the set. Looks-wise, he is pretty spot on, and the detailing in the face and torso printing is stunning.

The only way he could have been improved is if there was an alternate hair piece included in the set, just in case you didn’t want him to wear the hat.

Overall the Indiana Jones Motorcycle Chase LEGO set is pretty bland and simple, yet it is raised up with the additions of the neat-looking motorcycle and sidecar, and the Henry Jones Sr. Minifigure.

14. Race for the Stolen Treasure

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7622 Race for the Stolen Treasure
LEGO Indiana Jones 7622 Race for the Stolen Treasure

Set number: 7622
Movie: The Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
Release year: 2008
Number of pieces: 272
RRP: $29.99 / £26.49
Number of Minifigures: 4 (Indiana Jones, and German Soldier x3)

Up next, we have the Race for the Stolen Treasure LEGO set, a nice and dynamic LEGO build that allows you to partake in an exciting and daring chase scene.

The two trucks are great, and they have moving wheels, which means you can drive them along at speed. The back section of the larger truck can open up to house the treasure chest.

The back of the smaller truck has a gun turret that is moveable, and you can position a Minifigure behind it, holding it and shooting it.

But one of the things that let these trucks down is the monotone color. Sure, it’s accurate to what’s seen in the movies, but they could have added some splashes of color, even if it was just cargo in the rear of the trucks.

The white horse looks pretty great, but the problem is that it’s made from one single piece of plastic. There is no articulation or movement, which makes it a little boring.

Just being able to move and position the legs would have made a world of difference and really added to the high-speed excitement of the chase.

The Minifigures are great if you’re into army building because you get three German soldiers. The only different Minifigure in the set is the standard Indiana Jones that most sets have.

Overall the trucks in the Race for the Stolen Treasure LEGO set are awesome, but it is let down by the static-looking horse, and the pretty bland and monotone coloring.

13. Chauchilla Cemetery Battle

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7196 Chauchilla Cemetery Battle
LEGO Indiana Jones 7196 Chauchilla Cemetery Battle

Set number: 7196
Movie: The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
Release year: 2009
Number of pieces: 187
RRP: $19.99 / £18.99
Number of Minifigures: 5 (Indiana Jones, Mutt Williams, Cemetery Warrior x2, and Skeleton)

The Chauchilla Cemetery Battle LEGO set is an appropriately dark and brooding build that seems a little flat and downbeat…but that’s not to say it’s a bad set!

The build might only be pretty small, and the colors are very muted and dark, but it suits the set. Besides, the sprigs of grass and foliage, and the bright orange of the flames add some much-needed highlights.

The spider’s web and treasure chest are also great little scene setters that help build out the play set.

There’s also a pretty awesome motorbike that a Minifigure can ride into action. Unfortunately, though, the whole set runs the risk of appearing a little drab and plain. But at the same time, it isn’t!

For a small set, we get quite a few neat Minifigures. As well as the usual Indiana Jones, we get Mutt Williams, two Cemetery Warriors, and Skeleton. Plus, the skeleton has a hat, so that’s a bit positive!

All of them are appropriate for the set and look great no matter how and where you position them. And for the price, it’s great to get so many figures.

Also, we just want to point out the awesome-looking crystal skull. The translucent color looks fantastic and really effective, standing out against the darker colors of the set.

Overall this set could have been a bit of a swing and a miss if it wasn’t for the range of Minifigures. They elevate the small play set into something actually quite fun.

12. Shanghai Chase

12 LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7682 Shanghai Chase
LEGO Indiana Jones 7682 Shanghai Chase

Set number: 7682
Movie: The Temple of Doom (1984)
Release year: 2009
Number of pieces: 244
RRP: $29.99 / £26.45
Number of Minifigures: 5 (Indiana Jones, Short Round, Willie Scott, and Shanghai Gangster x2)

The Shanghai Chase LEGO set is a nice and action-packed build that succeeds where the 7622 Race for the Stolen Treasure set failed!

Instead of the boring and bland grays of the Race for the Stolen Treasure set, this one has a tan-colored car that looks very fancy and interesting. It has an elaborate design and even a hole in the roof that a Minifigure can pop out of.

There is also an equally elaborate black car, with a much more gangster-like design. The back section can open up and several more Minifigures can be seated in there.

These two cars provide a lot more variety and interest for your eyes – an important thing when it comes to LEGO sets!

One of the features that we love most of all is the fabric roof of our hero car. Sure, LEGO could have just used a molded brick for the roof, but the fabric adds an authenticity that you couldn’t have gotten otherwise.

The Minifigures included are all interesting and unique and have wonderfully printed details all over their bodies. Plus, the selection of headwear in this set is outstanding!

Overall the Shanghai Chase LEGO set is a more colorful and exciting build than previous chase scenes. The vehicles look great and unique, and the selection of Minifigures and how they can be used make it feel super exciting.

11. Jungle Duel

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7624 Jungle Duel
LEGO Indiana Jones 7624 Jungle Duel

Set number: 7624
Movie: The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
Release year: 2008
Number of pieces: 90
RRP: $8.99 / £8.79
Number of Minifigures: 3 (Indiana Jones, Irina Spalko, and Mutt Williams)

What the LEGO Indiana Jones line does really well are small, world-building sets. The Jungle Duel set is a fine example of this, being both small and fun at the same time.

There’s not too much to this set, but what there is, is great. From the camping table to the fire to the weapons rack and foliage, it is simple but works really well.

The tent is certainly a highlight, and we love the canvas-y material that goes on the outside of it. They could have opted to make a totally LEGO tent, but it wouldn’t have worked as well as a fabric one.

You can place Minifigures or other items within the tent as a kind of storage space.

There are some nice play features, too. The table breaks apart, and the sword rack can rotate, so you can select your weapon. There are also spiders and other tiny little accessories that can be sprinkled around.

When it comes to Minifigures, this set has three of them. Indiana Jones is predictably good, and Irina Spalko is particularly nasty and dangerous looking.

They can be positioned throughout the camp for their duel.

Overall the Jungle Duel might seem pretty bland, but it’s a low-key good set, with a lot of world-building qualities. This LEGO set would come into its own, being combined with other larger sets.

10. River Chase

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7625 River Chase
LEGO Indiana Jones 7625 River Chase

Set number: 7625
Movie: The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
Release year: 2008
Number of pieces: 234
RRP: $19.99 / £18.59
Number of Minifigures: 4 (Indiana Jones, Marion Ravenwood, and Russian Guard x2)

Continuing that trend of awesome world-building sets, the River Chase is another LEGO set that really does excite. But it takes things to the next level, too!

This set has a more natural vibe to it. With its trees and wildlife, it certainly sets a more jungle-like theme.

The tree looks really neat and the netting that goes up into the branches is a nice addition. Without a doubt, though, the main highlights of this set are the two vehicles: the car and the boat.

The car can seat two people and has moveable wheels. It works as both a land vehicle as well as an amphibious one, too. There are guns mounted on the front, where a Minifigure can be posed.

Moving onto the boat, and it’s equally exciting. Able to seat two, it has oars that you can row with. These fit easily into a Minifigure’s hands. The detailing on both this and the car is impeccable.

The crocodile is great. It is a solid green color and has a hinged mouth, meaning it can be posed with it open or closed. It would have been nice to see some extra printing on it, but that’s just a nitpick.

We’d recommend combining this set with the 7624 Jungle Duel set. They are great companion pieces that help elevate each other and make for a pair of ultimately more playable sets.

Overall the River Chase has some great features and ticks a lot of boxes. From land vehicles to water vehicles to animals and trees, it covers a lot of ground in only a small number of bricks.

9. Venice Canal Chase

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7197 Venice Canal Chase
LEGO Indiana Jones 7197 Venice Canal Chase

Set number: 7197
Movie: The Last Crusade (1989)
Release year: 2009
Number of pieces: 420
RRP: $39.99 / £29.99
Number of Minifigures: 4 (Indiana Jones, Marion Ravenwood, and Russian Guard x2)

Another water-based LEGO set, the Venice Canal Chase set looks and feels pretty special, and it’s tricky to put your finger on why!

Perhaps it is the nice, sleek design of the matching wooden boats, with only a few little features separating the two. Or maybe it’s that traditional-looking Venetian bridge that can fit the boats underneath.

Whatever the case, it’s a nice set to play with. Sure, there aren’t as many features as other LEGO sets, but that doesn’t make this one any less fun.

Also, that’s not to say that there are NO play features on this set! The bridge breaks apart, the boat has a hole in the bottom, and there’s a wooden dock on one side of the bridge and a secret hatch on the other.

The selection of Minifigures is pretty predictable but still nice. It’s nice that we get Indiana Jones in his more formal, suited look, as opposed to his usual action adventure look.

Overall, the Venice Canal Chase is a different but exciting LEGO set. It is deceptively fun, and you’ll find it more enjoyable than you initially thought when you get your hands on it!

8. Jungle Cutter

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7626 Jungle Cutter
LEGO Indiana Jones 7626 Jungle Cutter

Set number: 7626
Movie: The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
Release year: 2008
Number of pieces: 511
RRP: $39.99 / £31.29
Number of Minifigures: 4 (Indiana Jones, Colonel Dovchenko, and Russian Guard x2)

The Jungle Cutter LEGO set is like the older and more industrial brother of the 7625 River Chase set. In many ways, they are very similar, but in other ways, this one is vastly superior.

The machine has two large spinning blades on the front that are designed to cut down trees and foliage. The trees break apart when they come into contact with the machine. It truly does look intimidating!

You can seat one Minifigure inside the vehicle, and he can see through a transparent windshield. It might look simple, but it surprisingly works well.

This is a very natural-looking set, with a lot of greens, grays, and browns. It’s one of those world-building LEGO sets that we’ve talked about previously!

There are plenty of small accessories that help populate the scene, including webs and plenty of spiders that can be positioned anywhere you like on the set.

Looking at the Minifigures, what we get are actually some pretty great army-builders. The two Russian soldiers are obviously great for building your ranks, but the Colonel fits nicely into your LEGO army, too.

Overall the Jungle Cutter set looks harsh and dangerous, and that’s a line that LEGO doesn’t often walk. They combine the natural with the industrial in a set that people will love to play with.

7. Peril in Peru

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7628 Peril in Peru
LEGO Indiana Jones 7628 Peril in Peru

Set number: 7628
Movie: The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
Release year: 2008
Number of pieces: 625
RRP: $49.99 / £41.09
Number of Minifigures: 6 (Indiana Jones, Colonel Dovchenko, Irina Spalko, Mutt Williams, Pilot, and Russian Guard)

The Peril In Peru LEGO set has a lot of amazing features. Not only is the build itself pretty fantastic, but the additional builds plus the selection of Minifigures also help raise this one up.

We’ll start off by talking about the plane, as this is the largest and most prominent part of the set. It can be opened up, and you can seat many Minifigures inside it. The wheels on the bottom roll, and the two propellers easily rotate.

It features a hatch that opens up and drops down to store all kinds of accessories in there. It shows that LEGO understands that storage of the tiny accessories is definitely an issue with some sets!

As well as the airplane, there is also a small vehicle as well as airplane loading and refueling vehicles. There is everything that you need to live out the airport scene and make it look convincing.

There are of course plenty of Minifigures. It’s pretty cool to get some of the lesser-known characters such as Colonel Dovchenko, Irina Spalko, and Mutt Williams in this set.

What we love about this set is the playability. There’s so much you can do with this set, whether it’s parked on the tarmac or up in the air!

Overall the Peril in Peru LEGO set will scratch a lot of people’s itches for a good, decent-sized passenger plane. It looks fantastic and presents you with some really fun options to play with.

6. Indiana Jones and the Lost Tomb

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7621 Indiana Jones and the Lost Tomb
LEGO Indiana Jones 7621 Indiana Jones and the Lost Tomb

Set number: 7621
Movie: The Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
Release year: 2008
Number of pieces: 227
RRP: $19.99 / £17.59
Number of Minifigures: 3 (Indiana Jones, Marion Ravenwood, and Skeleton)

If it’s a small and discreet play set that you want, then the Indiana Jones and the Lost Tomb LEGO set is the one you’re looking for.

What makes this particular set so cool is how they fit so much into such a small space. There are collapsing statues, snakes, fire, skeletons, and, of course, the Lost Ark itself.

In fact, the design of the Ark is particularly cool. It’s simple, but it gets across the idea really well. It is also perfectly scaled for the Minifigures, meaning that two can carry it: one at the front and one at the back.

There are hieroglyphs on the walls and towering Egyptian statues that stand proudly over either side of the set. This LEGO set is its own self-contained scene.

What we love is how, for such a small set, it has a lot of dynamic and exciting features that add some excitement to it. To look at it, it looks like a pretty static set, but by playing with it you discover a whole new world of fun!

The Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood Minifigures look especially iconic in this LEGO set. It’s certainly a treat to look at as well as play with.

Overall the Indiana Jones and the Lost Tomb LEGO set might be small, but it fits a lot into a petite space. It combines looks and playability into a compact and good-looking set!

5. Fighter Plane Attack

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7198 Fighter Plane Attack
LEGO Indiana Jones 7198 Fighter Plane Attack

Set number: 7198
Movie: The Last Crusade (1989)
Release year: 2009
Number of pieces: 384
RRP: $49.99 / £47.99
Number of Minifigures: 3 (Indiana Jones, Henry Jones Sr., and German Soldier)

We’re going to take to the air now with the Fighter Plane Attack LEGO set. This set contains two differently designed planes that can engage in an aerial assault.

Indiana Jones pilots a white plane with a nice pop of red on the tail. The bi-plane design has a spinning propeller and can seat two Minifigures – one in the pilot’s seat and the other in the rear gunner seat.

The tail section pops off as if it has been damaged. There is also a small compartment in the body for the luggage accessories to be placed in.

The enemy plane has a slightly darker design and again can seat two Minifigures, one in the front and one in the back. This time, the seats are covered in a transparent canopy.

The design of this LEGO plane is slightly different, as it is more of a fighter than the bi-plane design of the first one.

Would we have liked to have seen more variety in color and design? Sure, two similarly colored airplanes aren’t the most visually interesting or striking, but that still doesn’t take away from their coolness!

The Minifigures are fantastic and appropriate, and it’s always a treat to get Henry Jones Sr. in LEGO Minifigure form.

We would have maybe liked to see an additional German Soldier Minifigure to go in the extra seat on the German plane, especially considering the price.

Overall the Fighter Plane Attack is a great set if you love airplanes. Each of them is unique and looks fun, and while they are still vehicles, they have enough features and cool details to keep them interesting.

4. Temple of the Crystal Skull

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7627 Temple of the Crystal Skull
LEGO Indiana Jones 7627 Temple of the Crystal Skull

Set number: 7627
Movie: The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
Release year: 2008
Number of pieces: 929
RRP: $79.99 / £73.39
Number of Minifigures: 10 (Indiana Jones, Irina Spalko, Mutt Williams, Russian Guard, Ugha Warrior x2, Skeleton x4)

If LEGO play sets are your thing, then the Temple of the Crystal Skull set is going to be one you’ll love!

This set has a lot going on in a relatively small and compact space. Silhouette wise it is designed to look like the temple, and it succeeds in looking like an ancient and giant building.

What you get within that temple is an exciting bunch of rooms and scenes that allow you to play with your Minifigures in all kinds of ways.

The temple of the Crystal Skull has collapsing stairs, firing spears, hostile warriors, and many other tricks and traps. LEGO has tried its best to recreate these heart-racing experiences.

This build features moving staircases, hidden rooms, flying objects and lots of cool details that make it fun and exciting to play with. You can position your Minifigures in a variety of perilous places.

As well as the main temple, there is also a small modular temple entrance section. This is wide enough to fit the small 1-man tank through. This modular piece can be placed wherever you need it.

And speaking of the tank, it’s a great design. It’s not often that we get vehicles with treads, and strangely it’s quite an endearing little feature!

Not only are there more play features than you can shake a stick at, but this set also contains 10 Minifigures. The characters are great and make sense, and the Ugha Warrior really adds that tropical vibe.

We wouldn’t usually class skeletons as good Minifigures, but they’re actually pretty appropriate for this set and look fantastic, so they get a pass from us!

Overall the Temple of the Crystal Skull LEGO set is a large, exciting, and extra fun set with some amazing play value. The many Minifigures and the amazing level of playability make it totally worthwhile.

3. Fight on the Flying Wing

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7683 Fight on the Flying Wing
LEGO Indiana Jones 7683 Fight on the Flying Wing

Set number: 7683
Movie: The Raiders of the Last Ark (1989)
Release year: 2009
Number of pieces: 376
RRP: $49.99 / £41.09
Number of Minifigures: 4 (Indiana Jones, Marion Ravenwood, Airplane Mechanic, and German Soldier)

We’re really getting to some of those iconic, big-hitter scenes now, with the Fight on the Flying Wing LEGO set depicting the edge-of-your-seat set piece from The Raiders of the Last Ark.

The large plane has wheels that help it roll, and the tips of the wings can pivot up and down to add a little bit of dynamicness to the set. The cockpit and rear gunning section also open up to allow Minifigures to sit in them.

The color scheme of the plane looks great and there are some nice print applications that make it look like it is covered in a camouflaged paint scheme.

There is also a fuel truck that a Minifigure can fit inside. With 6 wheels and a large flexible pipe on the back it really fits in nicely with the rest of the set.

The four Minifigures all work well together, but the Airplane Mechanic that Indiana Jones fights is super cool.

He has a toned and great-looking body printed onto him, and we’re glad they didn’t just go with a plain, un-detailed body. That would have been the easy route, but they didn’t go that way.

There are plenty of places on top of the plane where the Minifigures can be positioned to fight, making it an extra exciting build. It really combines playability and looks.

Overall the Fight on the Flying Wing LEGO set provides you with some great Minigifures, a drivable truck, AND a large and impressive airplane. It has it all – what more could you want?!

2. The Temple of Doom

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7199 The Temple of Doom
LEGO Indiana Jones 7199 The Temple of Doom

Set number: 7199
Movie: The Temple of Doom (1984)
Release year: 2009
Number of pieces: 652
RRP: $84.99 / £79.99
Number of Minifigures: 6 (Indiana Jones, Short Round, Willie Scott, Mola Ram, and Temple Guard x2)

One of the most exciting and iconic Indiana Jones scenes is the cart chase, and that’s exactly what The Temple of Doom LEGO set aims to recreate.

It’s a surprisingly simple build, but that’s not to say it’s not super-effective. It’s essentially just a track that runs through several structures. But it really is greater than the sum of its parts.

The main arch where the track starts out is detailed and has a lot of little features that make it look extra pleasing. From skulls to giant flaming platforms, it is awesome to just look at.

There are also translucent orange flame effects that can be positioned wherever you want along the track. These are all modular, so you can move them to suit your needs and your scene.

The entire build has an aging look to it – especially the track which looks as if it is extra old and rusting away. These printed details are a small touch that makes a big difference to the set.

The carts run down a twisting and winding track. The instructions tell you to build it one way, but there’s no reason why you can’t construct the track in whatever route you want. It’s all part of the fun!

You can fit several Minifigures in each of the carts, and they fit in there securely even if they tip up and fall off of the track.

The Minifigures themselves are all pretty standard, but they work well and look fantastic. We especially love that we get the Indiana Jones, Short Round, and Willie Scott trio!

Overall The Temple of Doom is a very fun LEGO set that has a lot of playability and some cool and interesting features that are very different from many other LEGO sets.

1. Temple Escape

LEGO Indiana Jones sets ranked - 7623 Temple Escape
LEGO Indiana Jones 7623 Temple Escape

Set number: 7623
Movie: The Raiders of the Lost Ark (1989)
Release year: 2008
Number of pieces: 554
RRP: $59.99 / £46.99
Number of Minifigures: 6 (Indiana Jones, Jock, Rene Belloq, Satipo, and Skeleton x2)

For our number 1 set, we have gone with the Temple Escape LEGO set. The detailing and playability of this build are absolutely outstanding, and it’s one that movie lovers would absolutely adore.

This set has everything you need for the perfect Indiana Jones action sequence: collapsing walls, shooting arrow traps, slithering snakes, spiked walls, and – of course – a massive rolling boulder.

The giant gray bounder actually rolls and glides down a thin and unobtrusive track. It’s a great and simple solution to the problem of getting something perfectly round to roll along a bumpy LEGO set!

There’s plenty of greenery and foliage sprinkled around the set, and it adds to that jungle-like vibe. LEGO went out of their way to make this set feel old and lived in, and it really shows.

On top of the play set, there is also an airplane included too. This white water plane comes complete with a rotating propeller at the front, as well as room for a couple of Minifigures.

And speaking of Minifigures, all of the figures in this set are great, and it’s nice that there are skeletons that can be sprinkled around the place to add an extra bit of terror and danger.

There are all the usual accessories that fans have come to expect from a LEGO Indiana Jones set, but we want to highlight an extra cool one: the golden idol that he has to steal.

It’s a tiny yet detailed LEGO accessory that really brings this scene to life. It fits neatly into Indiana Jones’s hand and looks great as you play with him.

Overall the Temple Escape LEGO set gives you an amazing opportunity to recreate that iconic and famous scene. The set looks fantastic while having many play features to keep things extra interesting.

Final thoughts

As you can see from this list, while LEGO only produced 16 Indiana Jones sets, they are all unique and exciting in their own special ways.

From small Minifigure-focussed sets, to larger play sets that focus on action and set pieces, there is something for everyone, no matter what your preferences or budget.

The Minifigures are all wonderful. Yes, we obviously get an Indiana Jones Minifigure in every set, but the other figures included in the sets are varied and exciting enough for that not to matter.

And besides, Indiana Jones is cool! The more Indiana Jones Minifigures, the better!

One of the best things about the LEGO Indiana Jones sets is that they were all very cheap and affordable. Sure, there are some more expensive sets, but nothing ridiculously expensive!

That’s a nice surprise, considering it’s such a big IP. We would have expected the prices of the LEGO Indiana Jones sets to be similar to those of LEGO Marvel and LEGO Star Wars. Fortunately, that’s not the case!

Since being retired and going out of circulation, many of these sets have become rare and as such very expensive. This is a combination of quality and scarcity.

But with the fifth Indiana Jones movie on the horizon, it’s only a matter of time before we get more sets. Hopefully, at that point, the prices of these original 16 might start to fall!

Cant wait for the collection to return next year. Undoubtedly the best LEGO line ever, as its one of the few that still appeals to every demographic!
