In the most recent episode of Boruto: Naruto Next Generation (Kawaki arc), Sasuke loses his most notable feature, his Rinnegan, in his fight against Isshiki Otsutsuki.
Does the fact that the Rinnegan holds Sasuke’s ultimate power mean he will die in the Boruto franchise?
No, Sasuke is yet to die in Boruto. However, there are speculations that he might die in the future. After all, we did see Boruto fighting Kawaki using Sasuke’s sword and wearing his cloak and headband in the series prologue. That’s definitely supposed to mean something!
There are only two possibilities: Sasuke is dead, or Kawaki imprisons him and Naruto in another dimension. Of course, these are mere speculations as we have no solid proof to back it up just yet.
We’re all hoping that Boruto’s plot will deepen over time and that it will be as good as, if not better than, Naruto.

Does Sasuke Die in Boruto Manga?
Sasuke is still very much alive in the latest manga chapter of Boruto, and no one knows when he will die or even if he’ll make it through the series.
The thing is we’ve been focusing solely on Naruto and Sasuke rather than Boruto, the protagonist. We may have grown up with these characters, but this is no longer their story, and we should be ready for anything.
Another significant character’s death may occur in order to shift the plot’s course. Which can be Sasuke’s, who knows?!
At some point, Naruto and Sasuke will be kicked out of the picture in some way. Either by killing one of them or trapping them both in another dimension (which sounds like a possible twist). This would be the perfect way to get them out of the picture and let Boruto’s light shine without disappointing fans.

Does Sasuke Die Against Ishhiki?
Sasuke, alongside Naruto, Kawaki, and Boruto, all made it out of the fight against Ishhiki. However, Sasuke lost his Rinnegan in the battle; he was stabbed by Boruto, who was possessed by Ishhiki. But that isn’t the greatest loss in the battle.
The battle against Ishikki would have resulted in Sasuke losing more than just his left eye (Rinnegan) if Naruto hadn’t unlocked a new mode called “Baryon mode,” which, unfortunately, resulted in the death of Kurama (The nine tails fox).
Since Naruto’s battle with Kaguya, the Otsutsuki’s have been a major source of tension in the Boruto saga, from Momoshiki progressing through, Kinshiki, Urashiki, Jigen, and finally Ishhiki.
Having defeated Ishhiki, they now have to deal with Code. Code is now the main antagonist in the anime series Boruto. He is the sole surviving member of the Kara organization and the organization’s head at the time of writing. He is a failed vessel of Ishhiki Otsutsuki, who has inherited the will of Ishhiki and plans on taking over as the next Otsutsuki.
Does Sasuke Die Against Code?
Code is yet to attack Konoha, so we don’t know how this battle will unfold. But, now that Sasuke has lost his Rinnegan, will he be able to fight Code? We’re all rooting for him to pull through on this one!
It has been confirmed that Code, the last Kara surviving member, is even stronger than Jigen and has the power of an Otsutsuki owing to his white karma seal. Code has vowed to avenge Isshiki Otsutuski’s death by destroying Sasuke and Naruto and has begun mobilizing in the shadows to prepare for that particular moment.
How can Sasuke ever hope to fight against Code now that he has lost his Rinnengan, and more importantly, can he? Will something happen in the future that grants Sasuke the advantage he needs to fight Code and his white Karma seal? Or, will his death be one of the first triggers for Boruto’s prophecy of losing everything? All we can do is hope for the best from Kishimoto.

What Happens After Sasuke Loses His Rinnegan?
Sasuke is still very powerful even after losing the Rinnegan. True, he won’t be able to use any path-based techniques or space-time Ninjutsu, but that doesn’t change the fact that he still has his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, and he can still use the Amaterasu.
Plus, we all know how chakra-draining the Rinnegan Jutsu can be; therefore, Sasuke has always been concerned about his chakra reserve during a fight, or worse, running out of chakra. However, now that the Rinnengan is gone, we can expect to see him fight at full strength for a longer amount of time.
Even with one hand, one eye, and no Rinnengan, Sasuke is still hailed a God Tier character.
Ever since the battle with Ishhiki, his whereabouts has been a mystery. We can expect that he returns with some kind of new power when it’s time to face Code. Then again, we are talking about Kishimoto here; he is as unpredictable as ever.

The Aftermath of Sasuke’s Death
If Sasuke eventually dies, we can expect Boruto to seek vengeance and, if necessary, walk down a dark path. It is now a common trope in the Naruto verse to make a student grow stronger in order to avenge their master.
In the case of Boruto, Boruto has always regarded Sasuke as his master and has accompanied him on numerous escapades. When it’s all said and done, we just might see Boruto walk down the dark path.
