James Sirius Potter Early Life

James Sirius is the first child of Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley. He is two years older than his younger brother Albus Severus, and four years older than his sister Lily Luna.

He was named after his grandfather James Potter, and Harry’s godfather Sirius Black. Both had been charismatic young men in Gryffindor who went on to join the Order of the Phoenix to fight Lord Voldemort, but also due to their love of adventure. James Sirius seems to have inherited many of their personality traits.

James Sirius started attending Hogwarts in 2015. He was sorted into Gryffindor. His cousin Teddy Lupin was a bit disappointed since he was in Hufflepuff. On the train to Hogwarts in his third year, James Sirius discovered Teddy kissing his other cousin Victoire Weasley. He dutifully told everyone what he had seen. No one else was very concerned.

He used his superior knowledge of life at Hogwarts to tease his little brother Albus and tell him scary stories about the place.

James Sirius was bold, brazen, and confident at school and popular among his peers. He was also known to be a troublemaker. He stole the Marauder’s Map from his father’s desk to help him manage his mischief at Hogwarts.

James Sirius Potter Personality Type & Traits

James Sirius was a confident young boy with an easy-going manner. Unlike his brother Albus, who struggled at school, James Sirius more or less breezed through.

He was very much like his uncle Ron Weasley in that he was not very in tune with the feelings of others and would often interfere in people’s lives. He was also like his uncles Fred and George Weasley, and his namesakes James Potter and Sirius Black, in that he was a troublemaker.

James Sirius Potter Zodiac Sign & Birthday

James Sirius must have been born in 2003/4, but his birthdate is unknown. It may be that his zodiac sign is Aries, like his grandfather. People born under this sign tend to be charismatic, confident, and have lots of energy. However, Aries are also very focused on their own wants and needs. They aren’t good at reading other people.
