5 Best Naruto LEGO Sets from LEGO Ideas and Mocs

5 Best Naruto LEGO Sets from LEGO Ideas and Mocs

The LEGO community is just as full of creativity as the Naruto fandom.

This has been proven repeatedly with the various builds uploaded to the LEGO Ideas site that launched in 2014.

These LEGO Ideas are classed as LEGO mocs (my own creation), which are essentially fan-made LEGO sets.

Plenty of LEGO mocs have been uploaded all over the internet for other LEGO fans to critique and enjoy.

In recent years, many anime fans have jumped onto the LEGO moc trend, thinking of ways to combine their favorite animes with LEGO.

Some of Naruto’s fans have proven themselves to be very handy with a LEGO brick.

There is only a handful of Naruto LEGO Ideas and mocs out in the world, but each build is just as effective at capturing the essence of the anime as the next.

1. Naruto Run!!!

It is not always the extravagant, detailed landscape LEGO builds that are the most effective.

LEGO builds that take on more simplistic, minimalist designs can also be the perfect display pieces.

LordSoarin115 posted their Naruto Run!!! LEGO Idea in October 2021 and has since gained over 1,000 supporters.

It was named a staff pick by LEGO staff in July 2022, and for good reason.

The creativity and detail that LordSoarin115 showcases with a limited amount of LEGO bricks makes the build a stand-out idea.

Naruto Run!!! features the original Naruto team 7 (Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Kakashi Hatake) posed in the iconic Naruto run.

The characters are clearly distinguishable by their unique character designs and colors.

2. Naruto: Ichiraku Ramen Shop – 25th Anniversary

If you have been a long-term user of the LEGO Ideas website, you may recognize DadiTwin’s Naruto” Ichiraku Ramen Shop – 25th Anniversary

The build was initially uploaded to LEGO Ideas for Naruto’s 20th anniversary.

Even though the project reached 10 thousand supporters and made it to the LEGO Review, LEGO decided not to move forward with the project.

But DadiTwins is determined to make the first LEGO-approved Naruto set a reality.

This 16000-piece build replicates in detail one of the happier settings in Naruto – the Ichiraku Ramen Shop. Specifically, the shop as it is seen in the earlier Naruto arcs.

It is a place easily recognizable to long-term fans of the anime with its haphazard design. A characteristic that certainly comes through in DadiTwins’s build.

The shop is an entirely playable set, opening up to reveal 2 stories with fully kitted-out rooms.

While the shop’s build is very detailed, extra work has been put into the environment surrounding the shop to make it appear a more natural setting.

For example, electric cables and a market stall just outside the shop are also included in the build.

If that were not enough, the set features 8 detailed and easily identifiable Minifigures depicting well-loved characters from the anime.

These include Naruto Uzumaki, Hinata Hyuga, and the ramen shop owners Teuchi and Ayame Ichiraku.

Each of the Minifigures has 2 facial expressions printed onto the headpieces. Both of which are true to the personalities of the individual characters.

3. Naruto: Attack Of The Nine Tails

Any good shounen anime has an emotional opening scene that tugs at the heartstrings.

In Naruto, this scene is the Attack of the Nine Tails. An attack that Naruto’s father (Minato Namikaze) willingly dies during to save his family and Konohagakure.

While it is hard to depict this emotion in a LEGO set, Aggravator clearly shows the brutal nature of the Nine Tails in one coherent build.

A wholly movable model of the Nine Tails is the set’s main feature.

Fur details line the limbs and face in various shades of orange, which makes the Nine Tails feel more alive.

3 customized Minifigures are also included in the set to capture the anime style of Naruto better.

These figures include Minato Namikaze, Kushina Uzumaki, and Tobi (aka Obito Uchiha).

4. Naruto Brickheadz

In 2018 at the AFOL Festival 2018 Shanghai, builder moonein exhibited a range of Naruto BrickHeadz mocs.

Both the size of the sets and the designs were in the same style as LEGO’s BrickHeadz range

Unless told that these mocs are not official LEGO BrickHeadz, most would think LEGO actually made them.

Since the 2018 exhibition, moonein has continued to grow the set to incorporate a range of Naruto characters.

From Naruto Uzumaki to Hatake Kakashi.

Moonein has gone all out to recreate the precise hairstyles and outfits of 28 individual Naruto characters.

Some even include exact replicates of iconic character weapons. Others feature memorable animal companions designed in just as much detail as the main builds.

Each BrickHeadz build is full of innovation.

Better yet, moonein has made the builds’ instructions entirely free to download. The download also includes a coherent parts list fans will need to gather to complete the build.

So long as LEGO fans have the parts available, they can build their favorite Naruto character in a BrickHeadz form for themselves.

5. LEGO Gama The Toad

LEGO Gama The Toad (cL0uD1337)

It may not be the most conventional nor obvious Naruto LEGO Moc, but true Naruto fans would recognize this LEGO depiction of Gama the Toad anywhere.

Gama is a giant toad that Jiraiya has the ability to summon.

Jiraiya can actually summon a whole variety of toads. However, Gama stands out because of his unique color and role as the keeper of the Toad Summoning contract.

This is what allows Jiraiya to summon Gama in the first place.

cL0uD1337 on Reddit perfectly captures Gama’s bright orange and contrasting blue marks.

Even non-Naruto fans have been impressed by how fun and true to life cL0uD1337’s final build is.

It seems that cL0uD1337 had access to a range of sets to use the pieces as the set makes very creative uses out of slightly rarer bricks.

Such as the bright orange flippers for the toad’s feet and the reptile-like eyes.

These pieces come together to create the perfect subtle nod to the Naruto franchise.
