If rumors are to be believed, 2023 will be an excellent year for LEGO Minecraft fans.
Minecraft and LEGO are a natural pairing. After all, Minecraft is essentially a digitized, massive LEGO set.
Perhaps that is why LEGO Minecraft is one of LEGO’s most popular and repeated themes.
Since 2012 with the release of LEGO Ideas 21102 Minecraft Micro World: The Forest, LEGO has released 97 Minecraft-themed LEGO sets.

That isn’t including the recently confirmed LEGO Minecraft 2022 summer wave of set releases.
Many rumors suggest LEGO Minecraft will continue into 2023 with strong winter and summer releases, including a whole range of set themes.
Until LEGO officially confirms these sets, they should be treated as rumors.
However, there is still a lot of compelling evidence to suggest that LEGO Minecraft fans should be getting at least x new sets in 2023.

LEGO Minecraft 21240 The Swamp Adventure
In April 2022, LEGO uploaded a new LEGO Minecraft set to their Building Instructions Portal database.
Though it is now hidden, keen LEGO fans took note of the uploaded information.
LEGO Minecraft 21240 The Swamp Adventure was uploaded to the database with a release date of January 1st 2023. This would make the set part of the LEGO 2023 winter wave of releases.
Brickmerge uploaded a LEGO Minecraft 21240 The Swamp Adventure listing in late August 2022.
They revealed a lot of rumored information in this listing, including the predicted retail price ($9.99) and piece count (65 pieces).
Stonewars reported the same information in a September 13th 2022 report.
This may seem like a lot of money for very few bricks. However, the set will likely feature new and exclusive minifigures based on the new The Wild Update mods.
On June 7th, 2022, Mojang Studios updated Minecraft with The Wild Update.
As part of the update, two new biomes were added – the mangrove swamps and the deep dark.
Accompanying these new biomes was a new selection of blocks (such as mangrove logs sculk cartalyst) and four new mobs: frogs, the allay, tadpoles, and the warden.
Though the rumored 2023 set may be small, LEGO Minecraft fans should still be excited about it’s release.
It will be the first swamp biome-themed LEGO Minecraft set since the 2017 LEGO Minecraft 21133 The Witch Hut.

The Witch Hut was comprised of 502 pieces and two unique Minifigures. It retailed at $59.99 when it was released on March 1st, 2017.
Brickmerge predicts that LEGO Minecraft 21240 The Swamp Adventure will be aimed at a 7 years + age range, which is typical of a LEGO Minecraft set.
They also think that the set will remain on shelves until 2024.

LEGO Minecraft 21241 The Beehive
In August 2022, an influx of rumors regarding LEGO Minecraft sets thought to be released in 2023 flooded LEGO fan sites.
LEGO Minecraft 21241 The Beehive was first rumored by Brickmerge during this time.
Brickmerge uploaded LEGO Minecraft 21241 The Beehive to their website, tagged with a $19.99 retail price.
They also said that the set would be available from January 2023. This likely means that the set will be released on January 1st 2023.
Stonewars expanded on Brickmerge’s information by providing an estimated piece count of 254 pieces.
LEGO has released 1 other Bee-themed LEGO Minecraft set before – LEGO Minecraft 21165 The Bee Farm from 2020.

The set was also a $19.99 set with 238 pieces and 2 unique minifigures.
Not all similarly themed LEGO Minecraft sets are expansions of each other.
Despite, LEGO Minecraft 21241 The Beehive would be a natural pairing for the previous Bee Farm. Especially if the bee design stays the same.
LEGO Minecraft 21242 The End Arena
Compared to other sets on this list, LEGO Minecraft 21242 The End Arena is already a little disappointing for fans.
The set with its full name was uploaded to Brickmerge along with the other rumored 2023 LEGO Minecraft sets in August 2022.
LEGO Minecraft 21242 The End Arena is thought to retail for $24.99. However, Stonewars predicts that the set will only have 252 pieces.
That is 2 pieces less than the much cheaper LEGO Minecraft 21241 The Beehive discussed above.
The 2018 LEGO Minecraft 21145 The Skull Arena was only $19.99 when it hit shelves with a 198 piece count.
Either LEGO has decided to raise the price of their LEGO Minecraft Arenas. Or LEGO Minecraft 21242 The End Arena will be full of creativity and innovation to justify the price tag.
LEGO’s previous depictions of Minecraft’s The End have been met with mixed reviews. So hopefully, this next set will be a step in the right direction.
LEGO Minecraft 21243 The Frozen Peaks
Brickmerge uploaded a listing LEGO Minecraft 21243 The Frozen Peaks in August 2022. January 2023 was included in the listing as its release date.
The set was tagged with a $34.99 retail price, making it the cheapest ice/ frozen biome-themed LEGO Minecraft set rumored to date.
Stonewars expanded on Brickmerge’s rumor in September 2022.
They gave the set a 304 piece count, matching its price tag as being the smallest set in its sub-theme.
A similarly named LEGO Minecraft was released in 2017, LEGO Minecraft 21131 The Ice Spikes.
Though the names of these sets may be very alike, they are different enough to understand what LEGO Minecraft 21243 The Frozen Peaks may depict.
‘Peaks’ compared to ‘Spikes’ suggests that the rumored 2023 set will be themed around snowy, icy mountains.
There has not been an explicit LEGO Minecraft mountain-themed set since 2017.
As such, LEGO Minecraft 21243 The Frozen Peaks will be a great addition to both the snow and the mountain LEGO Minecraft ranges.
LEGO Minecraft 21244 The Sword Outpost
There have been 2 Outpost LEGO Minecraft sets before, but LEGO Minecraft 21244 The Sword Outpost still raises questions about what the set could depict.
Brickmerge first listed LEGO Minecraft 21244 The Sword Outpost with its full rumored set name in August 2022.
Along with a $44.99 retail price, the set was rumored to be released sometime in January 2023.
It was not until Stonewars rumored the set to be 427 pieces big that fans got a little insight into the contents of the set.
Previous LEGO Minecraft Outpost sets have ranged from 303 – 519 pieces.
The main builds have been a building of some kind acting as the main outpost and some scenic features.
They have each been themed around an existing Minecraft in-game outpost. Such as LEGO Minecraft 21159 The Pillager Outpost in 2020, based on the various forest pillager outposts in-game.

In Minecraft, there is no such thing as a sword outpost, making the set’s potential builds all that more mysterious.
Fans will have to wait until LEGO Minecraft 21244 The Sword Outpost gets official confirmation from LEGO to find out more.
LEGO Minecraft 21245 The Panda House
If rumors are true, LEGO will give fans the second panda-themed LEGO Minecraft set since 2020.
LEGO Minecraft 21245 The Panda House was listed by Brickmerge at an estimated $49.99, said to be released in January 2023.
Stonewars predicts that the set will have a reasonable piece count to match the retail price at roughly 553 pieces.
This is over double the number of pieces included in the 2020 LEGO Minecraft 21158 The Panda Nursery.

The 2020 set was disappointing to many fans mainly because the main build of the set was tiny.
For a ‘Nursery’, the build was little more than a few columns with an unimaginative roof.
The adorable pandas were the saving grace of the set, including both a baby and a mother panda.
Given the number of pieces that LEGO Minecraft 21245 The Panda House is rumored to have, it is likely that LEGO will rectify their mistake and give fans a more intricate and exciting panda-themed building in the 2023 set.
Of course, fans are also hoping that the lovable pandas will make a return, too.
LEGO Minecraft BrickHeadz 40624 Alex
Around the same time that LEGO Minecraft 21240 The Swamp Adventure was uploaded to LEGO’s Building Instructions Portal database, three new Minecraft BrickHeadz were also added.
One of these was LEGO Minecraft BrickHeadz 40624 Alex.
Then in August 2022, Brickmerge uploaded the same set to their website.
They claim the set to cost $9.99 and be around 86 pieces big. This information was echoed by Stonewars in September 2022.
Brickmerge also said that the set will fall into the 10 years + market. This suggests that the BrickHeadz build will be more complex than other rumored LEGO Minecraft sets.
However, unlike the other sets rumored for 2023, LEGO Minecraft BrickHeadz 40624 Alex is thought to be released in April 2023 rather than January 2023.
There has only ever been 1 Minecraft-themed set included in LEGO’s BrickHeadz collection.
LEGO Minecraft BrickHeadz 41612 Steve & Creeper was a double BrickHeadz set released on August 1st, 2018.

The set was only 160 pieces, making it one of the smallest double sets in the LEGO BrickHeadz collection.
For Minecraft fans, the set was a must-have.
Several LEGO Minecraft sets already include Alex as a minifigure.
The most recent example is LEGO Minecraft 21179 The Mushroom House, released on January 2nd, 2022.
It will be interesting to see Alex’s detail on a larger scale.
LEGO Minecraft BrickHeadz 40625 Llama
Another set uploaded to the Building Instructions Portal database in April 2022 was the LEGO Minecraft BrickHeadz 40625 Llama.
Brickmerge listed the set for $9.99 with an April 2023 release date.
Like the rumored LEGO Minecraft BrickHeadz 40624 Alex, the Llama BrickHeadz is predicted to be released in April and marketed for 10 years +.
LEGO Minecraft BrickHeadz 40625 Llama was estimated by Brickmerge (and then Stonewars) to be a slightly bigger set at 100 pieces, making it the largest BrickHeadz rumored for 2023.
A llama would perhaps not be the first choice of Minecraft mods fans would choose for a BrickHeadz adaption.
But it will allow for the perfect follow-on set from the June 1st, 2022 LEGO Minecraft 21188 The Llama Village set.

A set that has proven very popular amongst LEGO Minecraft fans, leaving great reviews on the set’s official sale page.
LEGO has never created a llama-type BrickHeadz build before.
Regular LEGO and LEGO Minecraft fans can look forward to seeing an otherwise obscure animal brought to life… or brick.
LEGO Minecraft BrickHeadz 40626 Zombie
The final set to be uploaded to the Building Instructions Portal database in April was the LEGO Minecraft Brickheadz 40626 Zombie.
Brickmerge listed this set for $9.99 but with 81 pieces, making it the smallest LEGO Minecraft BrickHeadz set rumored for April 2023.
Do not be warded off by the slightly fewer pieces for the same $9.99 retail cost.
81 pieces is still an average size for a BrickHeadz set.
The Minecraft zombie has been depicted in various LEGO Minecraft sets in a range of designs.
But fans should expect the generic Minecraft zombie to be the inspiration for its BrickHeadz depiction. Mainly because it is the most identifiable to Minecraft fans.

LEGO Minecraft 21246
Despite being the most expensive set rumored for 2023, LEGO Minecraft 21246 has very little information for fans to speculate with.
Stonewars included LEGO Minecraft 21246 in their September 13th roundup of sets rumored for 2023.
They were the first to report on the set. Even Brickmerge hasn’t created a listing for the mystery set yet.
According to Stonewars, LEGO Minecraft 21246 will be released alongside the other rumored LEGO Minecraft sets in January 2023.
It is thought to be the most expensive (and presumably biggest) set released at an estimated $64.99.
Piece counts for other LEGO Minecraft sets in this price range have been around 700 pieces. But until more information is known, take that number lightly.
LEGO Minecraft 30647
The final and most recent set rumored for 2023 is LEGO Minecraft 30647.
Stonewars posted about the set at the same time they started the rumor for the equally as mysterious LEGO Minecraft 21246 (above).
However, from LEGO Minecraft 30647’s set number alone, fans can guess what the set may be.
At roughly 45 pieces, LEGO Minecraft 30647 is thought to be a Minecraft-themed polybag to be released in January 2023. Likely to celebrate the launch of the larger LEGO Minecraft sets.
There have been 4 LEGO Minecraft polybags released since 2019.
Each set tends to be released January 1st and remains available until December 31st, when the next polybag launches the following day.
The theme for the 2023 polybag is unclear by the limited information circling around LEGO Minecraft 30647.
Past LEGO Minecraft polybags of a similar size include LEGO Minecraft 30432 The Turtle Beach.

This was a 46 piece set that was launched on January 1st 2022.
