There is no explicit indication of how tall the characters in Attack on Titan are. But there is some evidence that can help determine the height of each character.
Eren Jeager and Mikasa Ackermann are roughly 5’7″, while Armin Arlelt is 5’4″ in season 1.
By season 4, most of the main cast have grown during the 4 year time skip between seasons 3 and 4. Eren is 6″, Mikasa 5’8″ and Armin 5’5″.
Some other noticeable growths to occur during the time skip are Connie Springer (5’2″ – 5’9″) and Jean Kirschtein (5’9″ – 6’2″).
9 titans appear in Attack on Titan, all of various heights. Amongst the shortest Titans is Ymir’s 5-meter tall Jaw Titan. One of the tallest is Armin Arlelt and Bertholdt Hoover’s Colossal Titan, which is 60 meters tall.
Attack on Titan is well known for its wide cast and often reshuffling essential characters. This article will focus on those characters that made a lasting impact on the show.

1 Dead before season 4
2 Annie was still encased in her crystal cocoon entering season 4, so she did not physically change
3 Rico doesn’t show up in season 4
4 Introduced in season 4
5 Yet to be confirmed if they do inherit that Titan
6 When walking on all 4 limbs
Though just a small child when the season begins, Eren Jeager grows to be 5’7″ (170.2 cm) once season 1 properly kicks off when he is 15.
During the time skip between seasons 3 and 4, Eren has a significant growth spurt. When we see him again in season 4, he is 6 ft (182.9 cm) and 19 years old.
When he is in his Titan form, Eren stands roughly 15 meters tall, based on how tall he seems when interacting with other Titans.
For the first 3 seasons of Attack on Titan, Mikasa Ackermann is the same height as Eren – 5’7″ (170.2 cm). She is the same age as Eren, too, so she also grows during the time jump but only reaches 5’8″ (172.7cm).
She may look small compared to many of the male characters, but Mikasa is the tallest female hero of the whole series.
Built to be stronger than most of the other female characters, Mikasa can often look shorter but is still the same height as Eren for most of the first 3 series.
The shortest of the series central trio, Armin is only 5’4″ (162.6 cm). He does not fair much better in season 4 either, only growing to be 5’5″ (165.1 cm).
Armin’s growth is more noticeable than most of the other characters as his hair is cut shorter, and his outfit has completely changed. Even though he has less of a growth spurt than Eren and Connie.
Armin’s short stature is made up for in his Colossal Titan form, which is as tall as when Bertholdt possessed the same form.
Levi’s shortness is often a point of comedy throughout the show. Kennedy Ackermann even goes as far as to call him runt even though Levi has no problem holding himself in a fight.
As one of the older characters on Attack on Titan, Levi Ackermann remains at 5’2″ (157.5 cm) from seasons 1 – 4.
Unlike some of the other shorter characters, Levi is only 5’2″ because of his poor childhood rather than genetics.
Commander Erwin Smith
Erwin Smith’s height matches that of his character’s personality. His whole character is designed to stand out as an authoritative figure as a commander.
Standing at 6’2″ (188 cm), Erwin is the second tallest human on the hero’s side before his death.
Before finding out that he is a Colossal Titan, Bertholdt is not a very prominent character. His height is the only thing that sets him apart, standing at 6’4″ (193 cm).
In his titan form, Bertholdt is considerably taller than most of the other Titans. He grows to be approximately 60 meters tall.
Hange is the same height as Eren and Mikasa in seasons 1 – 3, measuring 5’7″ (170.2 cm). Hange is in season 4 but has not grown like some of the other characters.
Despite being an average height, Hange still makes fun of Levi for his shortness. However, they do so more because of his personality rather than in a degrading way.
At 4’7″ (139.7 cm), Historia is the shortest older character in the Attack on Titan series – even shorter than Levi.
Historia’s height is often discussed within the series, but her shortness does not hinder her importance and heroic capabilities.
Though she is only 15 in season 1 (the same age as Eren and Mikasa), Historia does not have a noticeable growth come season 4. She is assumed to grow due to her age, but she is unlikely to be taller than 4’9″ (144.8 cm).
Sasha Braus’ height is difficult to pinpoint, but she was part of the 104th Training Corpse in season 1, which helps narrow down her height.
She is one of the more stand-out scouts of the corpse and can be estimated to be around 5’5″(165.1 cm) in seasons 1-3. In season 4, Sasha seems to be slightly taller, roughly 5’6″ (167.6 cm).
Like Sasha, fans guess Connie Springer is on the shorter side as he is part of the 104th Training Corpse in season 1. Connie is approximately 5’2″ (157.5 cm) when compared to others in the corpse.
Connie has the most significant growth spurt during the time skip, ending up as tall as Jean Kirschtein at 5’9″ (175.3 cm). However, his growth is more physical rather than characteristic.
Jean Kirschtein does not shy away from bragging about his 5’9″ (175.3 cm) stature, bringing it up often in front of shorter characters. He continues to do so once he grows to 6’2″ (188 cm) in season 4.
He may be the tallest non-shifting hero in Attack on Titan, but he certainly lacks the skills that other characters have.
Annie Leonhart is a year older than Eren and Mikasa in season 1, but she is considerably shorter. She is only 5″ (152.4 cm), which is reflected in her Titan form.
Annie’s Female Titan is one of the smallest titans of the whole series. She measures a short 14 meters, but her short-form packs enough strength to destroy buildings.
At the start of season 4, Annie is still cocooned in her crystal casing which essentially froze her body and her ability to grow. So, she remains 5″.
One of the taller characters of the series, Reiner is 6’1″ (185.4 cm) during seasons 1 – 3. He is already 17 when the show starts, and it can be assumed that based on other characters of the same age, he does not noticeably grow during the time skip.
Though Reiner’s Armored Titan is the same height as Eren’s Titan (15 meters), Reiner’s plated build makes his Titan much more robust and resilient.
Zeke Jeager remains at 6″ (182.9 cm) tall throughout the series, seeing as he enters the series an already grown adult.
As a Titian, Zeke is the second tallest shifting titan, becoming a 17-meter tall beast Titan. His Titan’s real strength comes in the form of his ability to command Titans much taller than him.
Standing at an intimidating 6’3″ (190.5 cm), Kenny Ackermann is one of the tallest characters in the whole of Attack on Titan. His very slim build also makes him seem much taller than he is.
Kenny is both introduced and killed off in season 3, so does not undergo any growth changes.
When Ymir is introduced to the series, she is already in her late teens. But she is only a little bit taller than Eren, measuring approximately 5’8″ (172.7 cm). Her thin build makes her seem taller than she is.
Though an average character height for Attack on Titan, she is one of the smallest Titans of the whole series.
Ymir is mostly a Jaw titan during the series, a Titan that rarely exceeds 5 meters. Even when Ymir consumes Marcel Galliard and becomes a Pure Titan, she remains 5 meters tall.
Dhalis Zachary is already an old, greying man when he is introduced during Attack on Titan season 1. His height reflects his old age, measuring only 5’4″ (162.6 cm) – shorter than Eren and many of the other teens in season 1.
Despite his lack of stature, Dhalis held much power in the series over various military groups.
Although he dies under eery circumstances in season 1, Marco Bodt was a fan favorite.
Marco stood out amongst the 104th Training Corpse as he was 5’10” (177.8 cm), much taller than most of the other corpse members. But his muscular build made him seem bulkier rather than taller than the others.
Folch Forster may be an average height for a male character in Attack on Titan, but he does stand out as a member of the 104th Training Corpse.
He is only slightly shorter than Marco, approximately 5’9″ (175.3 cm) tall. While he survives the series, he does not grow during the show.
Folch was only 15 when he first appeared in the series, the same age as Eren. It can be assumed that he does grow during the time skip but not by a noticeable amount.
Like most of the leaders in Attack on Titan, Miche Zacharius has a build that matches his title as a Corpse leader. He stands at 6’2″ (188 cm).
Miche is not as strong as Levi, but his muscular build makes him appear bigger and more intimidating.
Moblit Berner’s height is never really distinguished. Based on the other human male characters, he is estimated to be around 5’8″ (172.7 cm) tall and of average height.
Though he was a fan favorite, Moblit did not make it to season 4. He died saving Hange’s life towards the end of season 3 which has led to many fan head-canons about Hange and Moblit’s relationship.
A minor character appearing and dying in the same season 3 episode, Ilse Langnar’s notes written during Ilse’s Notebook: Notes from a Scout Regiment Member help Hange further her Titan research later in the series.
She is described by the very TItan that kills her to look a little like Ymir. So, it can be assumed that Ilse is roughly 5’8″ (172.7 cm) tall.
As the only female handpicked by Levi for the Special Operations Squad, Petra Rall’s short 5’2″ (157.5 cm) height clearly didn’t hinder her skills.
Being the only female, there was some speculation amongst fans that Levi had some romantic feelings for Petra. His feeling are basically confirmed to be returned but only after Petra is killed in season 1.
Hannes is amongst the taller characters in Attack on Titan. But compared to the other male characters, he is an average height of roughly 6″ (182.9 cm).
A good friend of the Jaeger family, Hannes dies saving Mikasa and Eren from a Titan in season 2 and is a particularly hard-hitting death.
From season 1 – 3, Dot Pyxis is taller than Eren, Mikasa and Armin standing at 5’11” (180.3 cm). This makes him more intimidating as a commander.
However, once the main cast grows in the time skip between seasons 3 and 4, Dot’s stature loses its effect.
Despite being one of the smallest adult characters in Attack on Titan at 5’1″ (154.9 cm), Rico Brzenska is extremely skilled.
She uses her height for agility, working as part of the group tasked with protecting citizens and reinforcing the walls.
Rico doesn’t appear in season 4, but seeing as she was already an adult in seasons 1-3, it can be assumed that she doesn’t have a dramatic growth spurt like Connie or Eren.
Nile Dawk starts out the series as a commander of the Military Police Regiment. Compared to other male human characters in season 1, he is a smaller than average height of approximately 5’8″ (172.7 cm).
However, Nile is turned into a Pure Titan during an offensive attack orchestrated by the Marleyan Military.
As a Titan, Nile is the smallest on this list barely reaching 4 meters tall. His Titan’s shortness means that his attacks happen considerably quicker and with less forewarning.
Though the cousin to Reiner, Gabi Braun does not carry the same height, measuring only 4’6″ (137.2 cm).
But to be fair, she is only 12 when she is introduced in season 4 so is an average height for a child character in the show.
Gabi serves in the Marleyan Military and is suspected to inherit the same Armored Titan as Reiner. If she does, her Titan may be as tall as 15 meters.
Porco is another new character to season 4 but has ties to Marcel as he is Marcel’s younger brother. He is fairly short compared to the other male characters in season 4, only 5’8″ (172.7 cm).
Marcel is consumed by Ymir when she becomes a Pure Titan, but Marcel’s Jaw Titan abilities were shared with Porco allowing him to also turn into a Jaw Titan.
It is hard to tell exactly how tall Porco’s Jaw Titan is as he tends to use all 4 limbs to move around. Based on the other Jaw Titans in the series, Porco’s Titan is roughly 5 meters tall when standing.
Though a minor background in season 3, Pieck Finger becomes more prominent in season 4 serving as a Marley Warrior.
She is one of the shorter warriors, measuring only 5’1” (154.9 cm), but this is also because she is still fairly young in season 4.
Pieck is the latest inhabitant of the Cart Titan. In her Titan form, Pieck exclusively walks on all 4 limbs so it is hard to determine how tall her Titan is. On all 4’s, she is approximately 4 meters tall.
Colt Grice was a new character introduced in season 4, along with his younger brother Falco. Colt’s 5’11” (180.3 cm) is less intimidating and more a testament to his bravery and confidence.
He was on course to be the next Beast Titan but was killed later in season 4 before he could fully inherit the Titan.
A mere 4’7″ (139.7 cm), Falco Grice is one of the smallest characters in the whole Attack on Titan series, though he is also one of the youngest.
So young in fact that he is only associated with the Marley Warriors through his brother rather than part of the group himself.
Falco was supposed to be Armoured Titan, but ended up inheriting a Jaw Titan after some character shuffling in series 4. As a Jaw Titan, Falco is roughly 5 meters tall though he looks taller due to his lanky build.

Many of these heights are wrong like Connie and Floch they are both 5’11 after the timeskip if you need the correct heights go to attack on titan wiki they have the real heights otherwise there is an aot guidebook that has the heights but it doesn’t have timeskip heights
Tuesday 19th of April 2022
This is pretty much all completely wrong. The official heights for all the characters came out for both pre time skip and after time skip. Eren grew to 183 cm (6’0) not 182.9 and zeke is also 183 cm or 6’0 not 182.9, Jean grew to 190 cm not 188 cm so Jean is 6’3 not 6’2 Connie went from 158 cm (5’2) to 180 cm (5’11) not 5’9. Floch also grew from 175 cm (5’9) to 180 cm (5’11) sasha went from 168 cm (5’6) to 173 cm or 5’8. Mikasa went from 170 cm (5’7) to 176 cm (5’9). Here you said reiner didn’t grow after the timeskip but he did and he grew to 188 cm or 6’2, armin was 5’4 163cm but grew to 169 cm or 5’6 1/2, Provo is 175 cm which is 5’9 not 5’8, Levi is 160 cm not 158 meaning he is 5’3 not 5’2, Dhalis Zachary is 165 cm or 5’5 not 5’4, moblit is 176 cm or 5’9 not 5’8, Miche is 6’5 or 196 cm not 188 cm or 6’2, Historia grew to 150 cm or 4’11, Nile Dok is 5’10 or 177 cm and hannes is 190 cm or 6’3 not 6’0 Rico is 5’2 not 5’1…… again most of these are wrong you’re right to include all the points after the cm but the actual feet in height aren’t correct, what I just listed is the correct listing and I implore you to update this. I’d also fix the list at the very top of the site thank you for reading this
Sincerely, Keyten DeGraef
