Some of the most popular Disney characters that start with B include Buzz Lightyear, Bambi, and both the beauty Belle and the Beast. There are the Jungle Book’s Bagheera and Baloo, Bashful, Baymax, and Bob Par (Mr Incredible). Also, the Rescuers Bernard and Bianca, plus Basil the Great Mouse Detective and Boo.

Bagheera (The Jungle Book)

Bagheera is an honorable panther that helps care for the man-cub Mowgli in the Jungle Book. Eventually, to protect Mowgli from the murderous tiger, he agrees to take him to a “man village” along with Baloo.

The short-tempered Bagheera often clashes with the laid-back Baloo on the best things to do.

Bailey (Finding Dory)

Bailey is a beluga whale that lives at the Marine Life Institute and believes that he is healing his echolocation.

When Bailey meets Dory, he and another whale, Destiny, agree to help Dory find her parents and then escape into the ocean.

Baloo (The Jungle Book)

Baloo is the beloved sloth bear who becomes the best friend of the man-cub Mowgli in the Jungle Book. He introduces fun and chaos into Mowgli’s life with the strict leopard Bagheera.

While Baloo tries to teach Mowgli to survive in the jungle, he eventually agrees that he is better off with his own kind and helps escort him to the man village.

Bambi (Bambi)

Bambi is the young white-tailed deer that features in the film of the same name.

We watch Bambi learn to walk and then tragically lose his mother before growing up into a stag that will become the Great Prince after his father.

Banzai (The Lion King)

Banzai is one of the hyenas who supports Scar to kill his brother and take control of the Pride Lands in the Lion King.

The hyenas support Scar because they are exiles, and as leader, Scar lets them back into the Pride Lands. But eventually, they turn on their former ally.

Barbie (Toy Story 3)

The version of Barbie that appears in Toy Story 3 is a fun-loving party girl who loves clothes and fashion, though other parts of her character depend on what outfit she is wearing.

While she initially falls for the villainous Ken, she teams up with Andy’s toys to save the day in the end.

Bashful (Snow White)

Bashful is one of the seven dwarves who take in Snow White after she is driven out of the castle by the evil queen.

The dwarf has a crush on Snow White and is often blushing and hiding behind his beard when she is around. His personality is generally coy and self-conscious.

Basil (The Great Mouse Detective)          

Basil is a mouse detective based on the famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes. He has many talents, including science, history, and disguise.

In the movie, he must face his arch-nemesis Professor Ratigan to save the Queen and her kingdom.

Baymax (Big Hero 6)

Baymax Big Hero 6

Baymax is a member of the superhero team in Big Hero 6. He is a healthcare robot created by Tadashi programmed to help people relentlessly until they say that they are satisfied with their care.

He becomes Hiro’s best friend and receives some superhero reprogramming such as super strength, rocket thrusters, and rocket fists to become a hero.

Beast (Beauty and the Beast)

Beast was a handsome young prince. But his selfish and cruel ways led him to offend an enchantress who turned him into a beast.

The only way to break the spell is to love someone selflessly and earn their love in return.

Angry and with no hope of breaking the spell, things change for Beast when the beautiful and openhearted Belle arrives.

Becky (Finding Dory)

Becky is a loon that Marlin and Nemo meet while infiltrating the Marine Life Institute. She is easily confused but does her best to help, carrying the fish around the park in a bucket.

At the climax of the film, Becky helps rescue Dory and the other fish from a truck and finds freedom herself.

Belle (Beauty and the Beast)

Belle is the kind and free-spirited daughter of an inventor in a French village. She is an outcast because she doesn’t care about the same things as the other girls and prefers reading.

Her big heart results in her becoming a prisoner of the Beast in order to save her father. But her nature lets her see beyond the hideous appearance of the beast.

Bellwether (Zootopia)

Bellwether is a diminutive sheep and the assistant mayor in Zootopia. She seems sweet with a soft voice and wool and is constantly put upon by the mayor.

But in reality, she is a ruthless and cunning mastermind with a master plan to get prey animals to rise up against predators. She will stop at nothing to reach her goals.

B.E.N. (Treasure Planet)

B.E.N. is the Big Electronic Navigator that piloted the spaceship of the legendary space pirate Captain Flint. But he was stranded by Flint on Treasure Planet and reprogrammed.

When Jimmy arrives on the planet, B.E.N. wants to help him, unaware that he has been programmed to destroy the planet before letting anyone discover its secrets.

Benjamin Clawhauser (Zootopia)

Benjamin Clawhauser is a Cheetah who works as a radio dispatcher and secretary in the Zootopia police department. He meets everyone who arrives at reception with a warm smile.

Despite his sweet nature, he is relegated to the recorder room after all predator animals are implicated in a case.

Berlioz (Aristocats)

The grey, furry kitten Berlioz is the youngest son of Duchess. He is sweet and shy but has a mischievous side. He is usually the first to make a comment when something isn’t right, but he is good-natured.

Berlioz is a talented musician and enjoys playing piano with his sister Marie. He is a bit of a show-off and competitive with his siblings.

Bernard (The Rescuers)

Bernard is a plump and good-natured mouse who initially works as a janitor for the Rescue Aid Society. After he helps Miss Bianca in a series of adventures, he is unexpectedly promoted.

He helps Bianca in the search for Penny, and the two develop romantic feelings for one another in the process. He even gets over his fear of the number 13 for her.

Bernie Kropp (The Incredibles)

Bernie Kropp is the long-suffering teacher of Dash, who is always playing pranks. The stealth with which he pulls off his pranks makes Bernie believe that he has magical powers.

The teacher sets up a security camera in his classroom and catches a blur of Dash running past his chair at lightning speed. Fortunately, he convinces himself that he must be mistaken.

Bianca (The Rescuers)

Bianca is a brave and intelligent mouse who works as the Hungarian Ambassador for the Rescue Aid Society, the mouse equivalent of the U.N.

When she gets the task of tracking down Penny, she asked for the janitor Bernard as her partner. The two save the day and develop feelings for one another.

Mr Big (Zootopia)

Mr Big is an Artic Shrew and the leader of the Mafia in Zootopia. Based on the classic godfather figure, he is ruthless but also lives by a strict code of honor.

He initially clashes with the police rabbit and future granddaughter Judy, but the two earn one another’s respect and he welcomes her into the family.

Big Daddy (Princess and the Frog)

Big Daddy is a sugar baron and considered one of the most powerful men in New Orleans. His real name is Eli La Bouff and he is the father of Charlotte.

He is also good friends with Tiana’s mother Eudora and is a strong father figure for Tiana. While he is widely respected in New Orleans, he has a few powerful enemies.

Big Mama (Fox and the Hound)

Big Momma is an owl who lives near the Widow Tweed and befriends Tweed’s pet fox Tod. She often offers him advice and guidance.

It is Big Mama who organizes for Tod to live with the Widow Tweed. She is surprised when Tod becomes friends with the dog Copper and warns him of the dangers of this friendship.

Bill (Alice in Wonderland)

Bill is a lizard who works as the handyman of Wonderland. He is asked by the Dodo and White Rabbit to get rid of a monster that is inside the rabbit’s house.

The monster is Alice, who has grown very large, and a fearful Bill refuses. Alice accidentally blasts him away with a super-sized sneeze.

Bill Sykes (Oliver and Company)

Bill Sykes is a ruthless criminal and loan shark who terrorizes Fagin after lending him some money. This forces Fagin to lean on Oliver to help him repay his debts.

He becomes obsessive and violent, causing a lot of destruction. But he also eventually causes his own destruction.

Billy (Meet the Robinsons)

The matriarch of the Robinson family, Billy spends most of her time controlling a full-sized model train around the Anderson Observatory.

She also uses small trains to pass food around the dinner table, and even to ram a rampaging dinosaur.

Billy Bones (Treasure Planet)

Billy is a turtle-like humanoid salamander who pilots an alien pirate spaceship. He meets Jimmy Hawkins at the start of the movie when he crash lands nearby and produces a map to Treasure Planet.

He dies shortly after from his injuries, but not before warning Jimmy to be wary of the cyborg, a cryptic message that Jimmy does not yet understand.

Bing Bong (In and Out)

Bing Bong is Riley’s imaginary friend and lives inside her mind alongside her emotions.

As she grows up and no longer needs him, he has to watch Riley’s Imagination Land change and his precious wagon thrown in the Memory Dump.

Bing Bong eventually starts to fade himself, but this allows him to sacrifice himself to save Joy and Riley.

Bloat (Finding Nemo)

Bloat is a porcupine pufferfish that lives in the fish tank in the dentist’s office. He is the welcoming committee for new fish and usually explains what is going on.

When he gets upset, he blows up into a puffy ball and the other fish in the tank have to work to calm him down. He knows the unique sounds of all the dentist’s drills.

Blue Fairy (Pinocchio)

While we are never told the true name of the Blue Fairy, she is an important character in Pinocchio. She is the one who grants Geppetto’s wish and brings the puppet to life.

She then assists Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket on their adventures as they attempt to transform Pinocchio from a living puppet into a real boy.

Bob Parr (The Incredibles)

Bob Parr is better known by his secret identity, Mr Incredible, and he is the head of the incredible Parr family. Mr Incredible is physically invulnerable but has many human flaws in his personality.

He is obsessed with saving the world and even does it in secret without telling his family. He believes that he can do it all on his own, which puts him, the world, and his family in danger.

Bogo (Zootopia)

Chief Bogo is a Cape buffalo and the head of the Zootopia police department. A strong animal, he is initially reluctant to include the diminutive rabbit Judy on his team of hardened predators.

While Bogo initially tries to sabotage Judy’s work to get her off his team, he eventually builds respect for her and helps her to make the final arrest of the film.

Bolt (Bolt)

Bolt is a white German Shepherd and a TV star. He features in a live-action superhero series, and the show’s producers have led him to believe that he really has superpowers.

When he is separated from his owner Penny, he must try and get home, traveling through the real world and learning to get by as a normal dog.

Bomb Voyage (The Incredibles)

Bomb Voyage, real name Remy Bot Mot, is one of the minor villains that must be dealt with by superheroes like Mr Incredible.

The wannabe villain wears make-up that makes him look like a mime, and he uses bombs in his crimes, hence the name Bomb Voyage.

Bongo (Fun and Fancy Free)

Bong is a circus bear born and bred in captivity. While he is beloved by audiences, he is not treated well by his handlers, and he dreams of escaping to the wild.

When he gets the opportunity to escape, he finds that life in the wild is not as he expected and he faces many challenges when it comes to survival, and wild bear love.

Bonnie (Toy Story 4)

Bonnie becomes the owner of most of Andy’s toys when she finds Woody at the daycare center where her mother works. Woody manages to get Andy to donate most of his old toys to Bonnie.

Bonnie also ends up making some of her own toys, such as “Forkie” and “Knifey” made out of plastic cutlery. These “toys” suffer from an existential crisis.

Bonnie (Zootopia)

Bonnie is one half of a rabbit couple that are the parents of Judy and 375 other children.

While they are supportive of their daughter, they are extremely anxious about her plans to become a big-city cop.

Boo (Monsters Inc.)

Boo, whose real name is Mary Gibbs, is a toddler who is not afraid of any monsters, so she follows a monster through her closet and into monster land.

There she meets Sulley and Mike, who try to save her and return her home. She also shows them that laughter is more powerful than screams.

Boomer (The Fox and the Hound)

Boomer is a woodpecker, usually seen in the company of his sparrow friend Dinky. The two are also friends with Big Mama and often help her with her plans.

The pair also like to chase the caterpillar Squeaks. They are surprised when Squeaks turns into a butterfly and flies away.

Bo Peep (Toy Story)

Bo Peep was originally a porcelain light adornment, but she became one of Andy’s toys. She develops a relationship with Woody and is often his girlfriend.

When Bo Peep is given to an antique shop in Toy Story 4, she spends her time helping the toys that pass through the store find new homes.

Boun (Raya and the Last Dragon)

Despite being a 10-year-old child, Buon is a street-savvy entrepreneur from Kumandra who knows all the dangers in the land. He also has his own boat restaurant called the Shrimporium.

He acts as a guide for Raya and Sisu as they make their way through Kumandra. They guide him as he tries to make his way through the world without his parents.

Brom Bones (Ichabod and Mr Toad)

Brom is the leader of a group of people known as the Sleepy Hollow Boys. He soon starts to pick on Ichabod and uses his gang to intimidate him.

Brom pretended to be the headless horseman to scare Ichabod out of town so that he could marry the local wealthy beauty, Katrina.

Bruno (Cinderella)

Bruno is Cinderella’s faithful bloodhound companion that was given to her by her father before he died.

When Cinderella’s fairy godmother arrives, Bruno is turned into a footman to escort his lady to the ball.

Bruno Madrigal (Encanto)

Bruno is the youngest of Alma and Pedro’s children with the gift of seeing the future. This turned out to be a challenging gift as Bruno often foresaw disaster, so he becomes estranged from the rest of his family.

After he disappears, it becomes taboo to mention Bruno, and he becomes a local villain. It is only discovered later why he felt that he had to leave.

Brutus (The Rescuers)

Brutus is one of Madam Medusa’s two pet crocodiles. He, along with his companion Nero, are ferocious, mean, and fiercely loyal to their mistress.

They are charged with watching Penny and tracking her down when she manages to escape. Penny is not afraid of the vicious pair.

Bubbles (Finding Nemo)

Bubbles is a bright yellow fish that lives in the tank in the dentist’s office. He loves chasing the bubbles released from the chest at the bottom of the tank, though can never catch one.

When Nemo turns up, he guards his bubbles jealously from the new arrival. He eventually escapes to the ocean with the rest of the fish from the tank.

Buck (The Good Dinosaur)

Buck is Arlo’s older brother, and he likes to tease his smaller and more timid brother. He often shows off his strength by doing things like ripping trees out of the ground.

Buck must work hard to protect his family after his father is killed. He is overjoyed when Arlo, who becomes separated from the rest of the family, manages to find his way home.

Buck (Home on the Range)

Buck is a self-centered horse who wants to be a hero. He is bored as the horse of Sheriff Sam and fancies himself an action horse with martial arts skills.

He is excited when the bounty hunter Rico wants to team up with him.

When Rico is exposed as a fraud, Buck realizes the error of his ways and joins with the cows to defeat the cattle rustler, Alameda Slim.

Buck Cluck (Chicken Little)

Buck Cluck is the father of Chicken Little. While he loves his son a lot, he doesn’t always believe in him and often suggests that he lowers his expectations.

He initially did not believe Chicken Little about the UFO he said he saw, but eventually helps him return the alien Kirby home.

Buddy Pine (The Incredibles)

Buddy Pine was Mr Incredible’s biggest fan and wanted to become his sidekick Incrediboy. But he was rejected repeatedly by the superhero as he tried to “help” on his missions.

This caused Buddy’s morality to snap, and instead, he became the super villain, Syndrome. He then set about killing many retired superheroes until he could get his hands on his former idol.

Bulda (Frozen)

Bulda is a troll from the Valley of the Living Rocks. She adopted and cared for young Kristoff and Sven.

Bulda was very pleased when Kristoff met Anna and tried to play matchmaker. She was the one who suggested that Anna’s problems could be cured by true love’s kiss.

Bull (Lady and the Tramp)

Bull is one of the dogs at the pound in Lady and the Tramp. Tramp helps the bulldog and some other animals escape from the dog catcher’s truck.

Bullseye (Toy Story 2)

Bullseye is a toy horse that forms part of the “Roundup” collection. Al had already acquired Bullseye when he got his hands on Woody, and the two met at Al’s shop.

Bullseye helps Woody and Jessie escape from Al, and Woody then takes them all back to Andy’s house to be one of his toys.

Bunny (Toy Story 4)

Bunny is a blue fluffy toy rabbit that is attached to the plush toy Ducky. When Buzz is captured and placed on a stand, Bunny and Ducky become jealous and try to kick him off.

While initially antagonistic, they soon join forces with Woody and the other toys and make it their mission to find homes for lost toys.

Commander Burnside (Lightyear)

Commander Burnside is one of the teams trying to get all the humans off the planet T’Kani Prime by mining for crystals to power Buzz Lightyear’s ship.

However, as Buzz travels through time, Burnside convinces the humans to try and make a life for themselves on the planet.

When Buzz finally encounters Burnside again, he challenges his views and tries to convince him that they can still leave the planet.

Butch (The Good Dinosaur)

Butch is a father T-Rex who saves Arlo and Spot while they are trying to find their way back to Arlo’s family.

He becomes a mentor for the young dinosaur, teaching him how to face his fears and get through things that scare him.

Buttercup (Toy Story 3)

Buttercup is a male unicorn toy that already belonged to Bonnie when Woody turns up. They explain to Woody what is really happening with the toys at the daycare center.

Buttercup makes friends with many of Andy’s toys when they move in with Bonnie, including Buzz Lightyear and Bullseye.

Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story)

Buzz Lightyear is a spaceman action figure who disrupts life among Andy’s toys when he shows up as the new, most exciting toy in town.

He is initially a rival of Andy’s favorite toy Woody, but the two become close friends and face many challenges together over the course of the movies.
