Disney Characters that Start with H

Some of the most beloved characters of all time have been created to appear in Disney’s animated movies.

But how well do you know the characters? How many Disney characters starting with H do you know?

Some of the most popular Disney characters with names that start with H include Hercules, Hades, and Hera.

There is the classic Horace Horsecollar, as well as Hiro, Hamm, Happy, and Hector. Also, the villainous Captain Hook, Hans, Hopper, and the Horned King.

Hades (Hercules)

Hades is the god of the Underworld and is determined to get back at his older brother Zeus.

He has a scheme to take over Mount Olympus, and according to a prophecy, only Zeus’ son Hercules can stand in his way.

Hades tries to have the baby Hercules killed, and this attempt sets all the action of the film in motion.

Hamm (Toy Story)

Hamm is Andy’s plastic piggy bank who is part of the Toy Story gang. He tends to say exactly what is on his mind without any sugarcoating.

Hamm is good friends with Potato Head and the two are integral to the mission to save Woody from Al’s Toy Barn in the sequel.

Hands (Treasure Planet)

Israel Hands is a Densadron pirate who serves under John Silver. He is immense and strong, but not among the brightest crew members.

Hands joins the crew mutiny but is killed by falling debris.

Hank (Finding Dory)

Hank is an octopus who lives in the Marine Life Institute and wants to escape into quarantine, but he needs something that Dory has.

He decides to help Dory find her parents and eventually decides to join her in the open sea.

Hans (Frozen)

Hans is a Prince of the Southern Isles, but he is also the thirteenth son, so he has no hope of gaining the power and recognition that he craves.

He sets his sights on becoming the king of Arendelle by marrying Anna and killing the others with claims to the throne.

Happy (Snow White)

Happy is one of the seven dwarves who take in Snow White when she is driven into hiding by the evil queen.

He is called Happy because he is always smiling, in a good mood, and keen to bring joy to the people around him.

Dean Hardscrabble (Monsters University)

Dr Abigail Hardscrabble is the Dean of the School of Scaring at Monsters University.

She is a master scarer and believes herself to be an excellent judge of the scaring potential of other monsters.

When Mike and Sulley are expelled from the scaring program, she agrees to readmit them if they win the Scare Games with the fraternity Oozma Kappa, a group of rejected monsters.

Harris, Hubert, and Hamish (Brave)

Harris, Hubert, and Hamish are the three young triplet sons of King Fergus and Queen Elinor, and the younger brothers of Princess Merida.

They tend to be innocent troublemakers who are always causing mischief and will do anything to get their hands on something sweet to eat.

Colonel Hathi (The Jungle Book)

Colonel Hathi is an Indian Elephant who leads the Jungle Patrol, which works to protect the jungle.

While Hathi does not approve of Mowgli being in the jungle, he agrees to mobilize his troops to help find the man-cub when he goes missing.

Heathcliff (Big Hero 6)

Heathcliff is the butler at Fredrickson Manor loosely based on the characters of Alfred from Batman.

He encourages the fledgling superheroes to experiment with their power on him and reveals a penchant for high-speed chases and catching criminals.

Hector (Coco)

Hector was a talented musician and Coco’s father.

He was killed by a musician called Ernesto da la Cruz who wanted to steal his music.

While his family assumed that he abandoned them and therefore turned their backs on music, he was actually in the Land of the Dead.

His great-grandson Miguel soon finds him there.

Heihei (Moana)

Heihei is a rooster who is pretty much considered the village idiot in Motunui.

When Moana sets off on her adventure, Heihei accidentally stows away in her canoe and therefore becomes a companion on her adventure.

Heimlich (A Bug’s Life)

Heimlich is an obese German caterpillar who is part of the circus troupe. He is always eating.

When he transforms into a butterfly, his dream, he is too fat for his wings to fly.

Helen Parr (The Incredibles)

During the height of the superhero age, Helen Parr was Elastigirl, and she fell in love with and married Mr Incredible.

When the world rejected superheroes, Helen retreated to become a mother and housewife.

She is horrified when she learns that her husband is still moonlighting as a superhero.

Helga Sinclair (Atlantis)

Lieutenant Helga Katrina Sinclair is second in command on the expedition to Atlantis and the bodyguard of Preston Whitmore.

She remains loyal to Commander Rourke when he tries to take the Atlantean crystals, only for him to betray her.

Henry J. Waternoose (Monsters, inc.)

Henry J. Waternoose is the CEO of Monsters Inc and is determined for the company to be successful, no matter what.

He conspired with Randall Boggs to get more screams out of children, callously ignoring that children would be hurt in the process.

Henwen (The Black Cauldron)

Henwen is a magical pig that belongs to Taran and his mentor Dallben.

She can tell the future, so naturally, the Horned King wants to get his hands on her.

When the Horned King captures her, Taran is forced to help him extract information from the pig to save her life.

Hera (Hercules)

Hera is the Queen of the gods, the wife of Zeus, and the mother of baby Hercules.

She is devastated when her son is kidnapped and stripped of his immortality.

Her son Hercules later saves his mother and the other gods, and she is rejoiced to welcome him back to Mount Olympus, but he chooses not to stay.

Hercules is the son of the gods Zeus and Hera.

But when a prophecy reveals that he can thwart the plans of his uncle Hades, he finds himself stripped of his immortality and living among humans.

He soon sets out to become a hero and regain his position among the gods.

Hermes (Hercules)

Hermes is one of the gods of Mount Olympus and serves as the messenger of the other gods.

He finds himself imprisoned alongside the other gods, only to be saved by Hercules.

Hiram (The Great Mouse Detective)

Hiram Flaversham is a toymaker in London where he lives with his daughter Olivia.

Professor Ratigan threatens Olivia to force Hiram to work for him and make lifelike automata.

Hiro (Big Hero 6)

Hiro is a young genius who was considered a robotics prodigy by the age of 14. He initially uses his skills for bot fighting.

When his older brother Tadashi is tragically killed, Hiro turns his skills toward protecting others, with the help of a robot called Baymax.

Sir Hiss (Robin Hood)

Sir Hiss acts as an advisor and supporter of Prince John in order to gain control of England.

He even uses his powers of hypnosis to send King Richard on a crusade.

Holley Shiftwell (Cars 2)

Holley Shiftwell is a secret agent car who works closely with the British intelligence agent Finn McMissile.

She is a new agent and keen to prove herself in the field and isn’t sure what to do when she finds herself working closely with the tow truck Mater.

General Hologram (Wreck-it Ralph)

General Hologram is a character in the game Hero’s Duty.

He is present when a Cy-Bug attacks Ralph and sends him on an escape shuttle to the Sugar Rush game.

Honey Lemon (Big Hero 6)

Honey Lemon is a chemistry whizz and a member of the superhero team Big Hero 6 created by Hiro and Baymax.

She plays an important role in bringing down Callaghan.

Honeymaren (Frozen 2)

Honeymaren is a member of the Northuldra who revered nature and magic and wants to bring peace and prosperity to the Enchanted Forest.

She is the leader of the group who ambushes Elsa and her party when they arrive in the forest.

She reveals to Elsa and Anna the connection between them and the Northuldra.

Captain Hook (Peter Pan)

Captain Hook is a notorious pirate captain in Neverland who is also obsessed with getting revenge on Peter Pan for cutting off his hand.

Pan fed the hand to a crocodile who follows Hook keen to eat the rest.

He is constantly frustrated by the incompetence of his first mate Smee.

Hookhand (Tangled)

Hookhand is the leader of the Pub Thugs that try to turn in Flynn for the reward money.

Hopper (A Bug’s Life)

Hopper is the leader of the grasshopper game that suppresses and exploits the ant colony.

Thanks to Flik, the ant colony eventually revolt against the grasshoppers and this results in Hopper being eaten by a bird, his greatest fear.

Horace Horsecollar

Horace was one of the first friends created for Mickey Mouse in 1929.

He is capable of morphing between a normal house and an anthropomorphic horse.

Horace (101 Dalmatians)

Horace is one of the henchmen of Cruella de Vil who kidnaps the Dalmatian puppies.

He seems to be the only one who believes that the dogs are capable of tricking them.

Horned King (The Black Cauldron)

The Horned King wants to get his hands on the Black Cauldron so that he can create an army of the dead to do his wishes.

To find the cauldron he kidnaps the oracle pig Henwen and then uses Taran to track down the cauldron for him.

Horst (Ratatouille)

Horst is a German sous-chef who everyone says has “done time”, but no one knows why.

Many stories emerge about him, such as robbing a bank with only a ballpoint pen, but none are ever confirmed.

Hubert (Sleeping Beauty)

King Hubert is the father of Prince Philip.

When their children were young, King Hubert and King Stefan betrothed Philip to marry Stefan’s daughter Princess Aurora.

Hugo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)

Hugo is one of a trio of sentient gargoyles of Notre Dame. They have been friends with Quasimodo since he started living in the bell tower as a boy.

He is the most optimistic and fun-loving of the trio and develops a crush on Esmeralda’s goat Djali.

The Huntsman (Snow White)

The Queen ordered the Huntsman to take Snow White into the forest, kill her, cut out her heart, and put it in a box.

She has some kind of leverage over the man.

Unable to bring himself to do it, he lets Snow White go and places a pig heart in the box.
